Description
Cold Steel's Gurkha Kukri honours the legendary Nepalese working knife with a deeply recurved blade forged from 1055 carbon steel. The Kray-Ex handle soaks up impact vibration while the blade's forward weight delivers devastating chopping cuts. Comes with a Cor-Ex sheath and Secure-Ex belt loop.

The Gurkha's Companion
The forward-weighted blade arcs through the air with purpose, landing with a decisive thwack that splits cordwood and clears scrub in equal measure.
Camp chores become almost meditative—each swing channels centuries of Nepalese utility into your grip.
A Legacy in Carbon Steel
Cold Steel forges the blade from 1055 carbon steel, a grade chosen for its shock resistance and ease of field sharpening on a simple stone.
The Kray-Ex handle is injection-moulded to dampen vibration, looking after your hand through hours of sustained chopping work.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
