Description
Each Himalayan Imports Ang Khola kukri is individually hand-forged by a Nepali kami from reclaimed 5160 leaf-spring steel, producing a blade of exceptional toughness. The Ang Khola profile features a deep belly and thick spine ideal for heavy chopping. Rosewood handle with brass bolster and traditional kauda pommel.

A Blade with a Birthright
Grip the rosewood handle and feel the heft of steel that once held up a truck—now reborn as a tool that splits hardwood with a single measured stroke.
Out in the back country, the Ang Khola becomes your axe, machete, and camp knife all in one.
Forged by the Kami
In the hills of eastern Nepal, a kami heats reclaimed leaf-spring steel in a charcoal forge, hammering the iconic recurve by hand over hours of patient work.
The rosewood handle is fitted with a traditional brass bolster and kauda pommel—details unchanged for generations.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
