Description
The Fox 599 Emerson karambit is a collaboration between Fox Knives of Italy and combat knife legend Ernest Emerson. The N690 Bohler stainless steel hawkbill blade deploys instantly via the patented wave feature as it exits the pocket. Textured black G10 handle scales over a titanium liner lock give you a rock-solid grip around the signature retention ring, making this the gold standard for folding karambits.

Instant Readiness
The wave feature catches the pocket edge as you draw — the N690 blade snaps open and locks before the knife fully clears your jeans. Your index finger finds the retention ring by instinct, and suddenly you're holding one of the most capable cutting tools ever designed, the hawkbill edge poised for anything from cutting cordage to emergency seatbelt work.
Italian Precision Meets American Innovation
This karambit represents a transatlantic collaboration between Fox Knives of Maniago and Ernest Emerson of Los Angeles. N690 Bohler steel is an Austrian premium stainless chosen for its fine grain structure and corrosion resistance, while the G10 handle scales are CNC-machined in Italy to Emerson's exact specs. The wave feature — Emerson's patented opening mechanism — turns pocket deployment into a fraction of a second.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
