Description
The Opinel N°10 pruning knife features a hawkbill carbon steel blade built for clean, precise cuts on vines and branches. The beech handle is steam-bent for comfort during long sessions in the garden or vineyard.

The Gardener's Ritual
Draw the curved blade through a green stem and hear the clean snap of a perfect cut.
Morning dew, fresh soil, a sharp edge — the garden comes alive under steady hands.
Savoyard Heritage
Since 1890, Opinel has forged blades in the French Alps using locally sourced XC90 carbon steel.
The beech handle is steam-shaped in Chambéry — a tradition unchanged for over a century.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
