The Frontiersman's Blade

Draw the clip-point from its tooled leather sheath and feel the brass guard lock against your hand—solid, confident, ready. The coral wood glows warm orange against a campfire backdrop, a beacon of craftsmanship in the bush.

Whether displayed or carried, the Muela Bowie commands attention.

Spanish Steel Heritage

Muela has produced blades in the Castilla-La Mancha region of Spain since 1925, tempering 440C stainless to 58 HRC for a balance of hardness and toughness suited to both field work and display.

Coral wood is sourced from sustainable tropical plantations, selected for its vivid orange-red grain and natural resistance to moisture and insect damage.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
