Description
The Miyabi 5000MCD 67 Gyutoh features a 67-layer SG2 micro-carbide Damascus blade forged in Seki, Japan. Its Karelian birch handle and traditional D-shape profile deliver brilliant balance for precision kitchen work.

The Art of the Cut
Draw the blade through a ripe tomato and watch it give way without pressure, the skin parting in a clean whisper.
Every ingredient shows its best when met with this level of sharpness.
Seki City Mastery
Each blade is ice-hardened using Miyabi's proprietary Friodur process to hit 63 HRC.
The 67 Damascus layers are folded by artisans continuing an 800-year tradition of Japanese sword-making.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
