Description

The Perkin Damascus hunting knife is hand-forged from 256 layers of 1095 and 15N20 steel, giving you a blade that holds a razor edge through the toughest field-dressing jobs. The buffalo horn handle is ergonomically contoured with brass bolsters and mosaic pins for a solid, comfortable grip even when things get wet. Comes with a premium hand-stitched leather sheath — a proper Damascus hunting knife for serious bush blokes.
Perkin — Hand-Forged Damascus Hunting Knife Buffalo Horn Handle - 5
**Built for the Bush** Grip the sculpted horn handle as dawn breaks over the ridgeline — the blade's razor edge parts hide and sinew with surgical control, making quick work of field dressing. This is a knife that earns its patina through seasons of hunts, each scratch and stain a chapter in your outdoor story.
**Forged by Hand, Layer by Layer** A master smith folds 1095 high-carbon steel against 15N20 nickel steel 256 times, hammering each billet on a coal forge until the distinctive twist pattern emerges in the finished blade. The buffalo horn is sourced from ethical suppliers, shaped on a belt grinder, then polished to reveal the natural striations hidden beneath the raw surface.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
