Description

The Linder mushroom knife is a showcase of traditional German cutlery craftsmanship, featuring a hand-ground carbon steel blade that takes and holds a razor-sharp edge for the cleanest possible stem cuts. The genuine stag horn handle is unique to each knife and houses a dense boar bristle brush. A leather belt pouch keeps this premium foraging tool protected between outings.

**Where Tradition Meets the Trail** The stag horn warms quickly in your hand as you navigate the damp forest floor — each mushroom yields to the carbon steel edge with barely a whisper of resistance. There's something deeply satisfying about using a tool this refined for something this elemental, the ancient partnership of blade and forest renewed with every clean cut.
**Solingen Steel, Black Forest Roots** Linder has crafted blades in Solingen — Germany's City of Blades — since 1929. Their mushroom knife carries that heritage into the forest, with a carbon steel blade hand-ground on traditional wheels for a convex edge that slices cleanly through any stem. Each stag horn handle is unique, harvested from naturally shed antlers in the Alpine regions.

Looking After Your Blade
Keep your blade in top nick. Give it a rinse and dry after each use to stop corrosion. Every now and then, rub a thin coat of mineral oil along the blade. Sharpen with a whetstone or honing rod at a steady angle. Store it in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip — never chucked loose in a drawer. For carbon and Damascus steel, give it a wipe after cutting acidic foods. For folding knives, clean out the pivot and pop a drop of lubricant in to keep it opening smoothly.
